Pain we treat every week

If any of these sound familiar, you're exactly who this practice was built for.

  • Chronic neck, shoulder & back painRelease the holding patterns that painkillers only mute.
  • Post-injury recovery & scar tissueRestore tissue mobility so healing doesn't leave you stiff.
  • Stubborn knots & trigger pointsTreat the point that's causing the pain — not just where it hurts.
  • Desk-posture tension & tech neckUndo the forward-head, rounded-shoulder pattern hours at a screen build.
  • Sports strain & overuseRecover faster between sessions and train without nagging pain.
  • Limited range of motion & stiffnessFree the connective tissue that's quietly restricting your movement.

Why clients choose us

This is not a spa massage

Relaxation is a side effect here — not the goal. Every session works like a physical-therapy-style treatment: assess, treat the source, and give you a plan.

A typical spa massage

  • The same routine for every body
  • Pressure without a purpose
  • Feels nice for a day, then the pain returns
  • No assessment, no plan, no progress

Clinical massage at OC Pain-free

  • Starts with an assessment of your movement and pain patterns
  • Targeted trigger point & deep tissue work where the problem actually lives
  • A treatment plan with progress you can measure
  • Education so you keep improving between sessions

The toolbox

How we treat

Every session draws on clinical techniques chosen for what your body needs that day — you don't have to pick from a menu of buzzwords.

Deep Tissue Massage

Slow, deliberate pressure into the deeper muscle layers to release chronic holding patterns that lighter work never reaches.

Best for: long-standing tension, postural pain

Trigger Point Therapy

Locates and releases the contracted knots that refer pain to other areas — very often the hidden source behind "mystery" pain and tension headaches.

Best for: recurring knots, radiating pain, headaches

Myofascial Release

Sustained, gentle stretch of the fascia — the connective-tissue web around every muscle — to free restrictions that limit how you move.

Best for: stiffness, restricted range of motion, old injuries

Sports & Recovery Massage

Pre- and post-training work that flushes fatigued tissue, loosens overworked chains, and keeps small strains from becoming real injuries.

Best for: athletes, active lifestyles, overuse strain

Assisted Stretching

Therapist-guided stretches that safely restore range you can't reach on your own, integrated into treatment where your assessment calls for it.

Best for: mobility, desk-bound bodies, injury prevention

Not sure what you need?

You don't have to know — that's the point. Book a session and we'll assess and build the right combination of techniques for you.

Why I do this

Hi, I'm Nicholas

Licensed Massage Therapist · CAMTC # 53765 · Proud disabled veteran

I'm a proud disabled veteran and a firm believer in living a pain-free life without relying on medication. After serving my country, I faced my own daily battle with chronic pain. Instead of turning to long-term prescriptions, I enrolled in massage school to learn how to manage my pain naturally. That decision changed my life.

Now my mission is to share what I've learned with others. I combine professional massage techniques with a compassionate, understanding approach to help my clients reduce tension, improve mobility, and find lasting relief — all without drugs. I offer in-home massage in and around Orange County, California. If you're ready for a natural, holistic approach to your wellness, I'd be honored to work with you.

Client results

I've built my practice on results. These words come directly from clients who've experienced my hands-on expertise themselves.

Cornelia N.

★★★★★

“I had some pretty great massages over the last couple years but nothing like this. Two sessions with Nic and I feel so much lighter — stress and tension released that I didn't even realize I was carrying around. With great care he found each spot, each muscle that needed work and took the time to loosen everything that needed loosening. 10/10 would recommend.”

Andrea E.

★★★★★

“During Nic's massage I felt like a marionette — my mind wasn't in my head, but only in the exact spot he was working on. With my severe scoliosis, he found areas that no one had ever treated before. Nic takes his time with every tension until the problem area is released. His inner calmness carries over into my body so that I was able to completely relax.”

★★★★★

“Nic is really the best! I worked with a physio therapist on a skiing accident for a year. And just a couple of sessions with Nic healed what I couldn't. He knows where your muscle tension is hidden before you do.”

★★★★★

“Nic's outstanding work is characterized by both great competence and empathy. I had been struggling with writer's block for several months. He not only relieved my physical tension, but also helped me rediscover my creative impulses, for which I am truly grateful.”

Common questions

How is this different from a spa massage?

A spa massage is a routine; this is a treatment. Sessions start with an assessment of your movement and pain patterns, then use targeted deep tissue and trigger point techniques on the actual source of the problem. You leave with a plan, not just an hour of relaxation.

Does deep tissue or trigger point work hurt?

Effective doesn't have to mean painful. Pressure is worked to your tolerance — strong enough to release the tissue, never past what your body can relax into. You're in communication the entire session.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on how long the problem has been building. Many clients feel a clear difference after the first session; long-standing chronic patterns typically take a short series. You'll get an honest estimate at your initial assessment — no open-ended packages.

How soon will I feel results?

Most clients notice a difference walking out of the first session — looser, lighter, more range. It's also normal to feel mild soreness for a day after deeper work, like after a good workout, before the real improvement settles in over 24–48 hours.

I'm in acute pain right now — should I still come in?

Usually yes, and early treatment often shortens recovery — but timing matters. For a fresh injury in its first 48–72 hours, or anything involving numbness, severe swelling, or trauma, see your physician first. Call us and describe what happened; we'll tell you honestly whether massage is the right next step or not yet.

Can I pay with HSA/FSA or insurance?

Many clients successfully use HSA/FSA funds for therapeutic massage, especially with a doctor's letter of medical necessity — check with your plan administrator. We can provide detailed receipts for reimbursement. We don't bill insurance directly.

What happens at the first visit, and what should I wear?

Your first visit starts with a short conversation and movement assessment, then the treatment itself. Wear (or bring) comfortable clothing you can move in. You'll only ever be undressed to your own comfort level, professionally draped at all times.

Do I tip at a clinical practice?

Tips are never expected here — you don't tip your physical therapist. Pricing is set like any professional health service. If you loved your session, the best thank-you is a review or telling a friend who's in pain.

Do you offer gift certificates or packages?

Yes — a treatment session is one of the most useful gifts you can give someone who's been complaining about their back for months. Call 1 (949) 706-4275 and we'll set one up. Multi-session plans are discussed at your first visit, only if your assessment actually calls for one.

What is the cancellation & deposit policy?

You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Inside 24 hours, or for missed appointments, any deposit paid is retained — when a deposit is collected at booking, it applies in full toward your session total. Read the full policy here.
